Cyberpunk 2077 Save corrupted files when larger than 8MB in size: Report

Cyberpunk 2077 players report that if their save files become too large they will be corrupted. According to a report, if the save file is larger than 8MB in size, the players will not be able to load it and will receive an error message. The long-awaited action-RPG title on the Projekt Red CD has become very popular due to the number of bits reported online since the game’s launch. The company has already released two hotfixes since its launch on December 10. In a recent development, the game was removed from PlayStation Store by Sony after several reports of bugs and frustration performance disappointment.

According to information shared on Reddit forums and Projekt RED CD, Cyberpunk 2077 has an 8MB size cap on saved files. Users whose file size exceeds the limit have a message stating that their saved file has been corrupted and cannot be loaded. The size of the saved file is increased if a user has picked up too many items and craft materials. It’s pretty weird for an RPG game full of pickup and loot stuff to have such an issue.

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 (Xbox Series X review | PS4 review) have responded to the problem on the GOG.com support page with CD Projekt. The developers say that if the save file is damaged, it will not be recoverable. In this case, users can use an older save file to continue playing and try to keep fewer items. “If you have used the wisdom of duplicating an object, please upload a save file that does not affect it,” said the developers, noting that the size of the save file size may have been increased in one of the groups at future.

The developers have already released two hotfixes – 1.04 and 1.05 – on various platforms since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077., because the game is so deceptive, players seem to have started getting a refund even after playing longer than the usual two-hour play window. Cyberpunk 2077 later to name this on Twitter, saying that players will get a refund on their digital copy.

Sony recently removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and is offering a full refund for all gamers who purchased the game through the PS Store. Microsoft is now too offering a refund for players who purchased the game from the Microsoft Store, although it has not listed the game as Sony did. Additionally, the Microsoft Store has added a warning message saying that players may experience performance issues when playing this game on Xbox One consoles.

While the developers and the game itself seem to be on a wicket stick, Cyberpunk 2077 recently tweet from their official service that it will release “two big pieces” in January and February to address issues facing players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest Hotfix for consoles addresses issues related to many individual missions related to missions like Disappearing Characters (NPCs) disappearing, inappropriate geometry, mechanics, and more. There are some gameplay enhancements such as response times of NPCs taking cover, and visual bug fixes include T-posing NPCs, changes to HDR, and UI overclocking issues, among others.
