Curved spoon, straight needle: Geller comes with a vaccine driver

Uri Geller, the famous messenger, joined Israel’s campaign to vaccinate the elderly against COVID-19 on Thursday, performing his spoon-bending trick for medical staff as he received the injection.

“I did it!” Geller, 75, said after the spoon broke in his hand while the needle went into the other arm, to get praise from spectators.

“Everyone over the age of 60 should get it right away,” said Geller, who has a second home in Britain. “This is very, very important for the whole planet.”

Israel launched their vaccination campaign on December 19 and hopes to have first administered and increased awareness to the 25% of the most vulnerable population by the end of January.

TV entertainment had not always been in line with the government’s stance on the virus.

He started a riot in March, when the effects of the virus were beginning to be felt around the world, he said the pathogen was made by China to wage Iran a biological war.

The virus was spread unknowingly, he said, when a man in China who was working on the alleged virus suffered an accident.

“Covid-19 (Corona) was created and manufactured by MSS China, while delivering the virus to Iran for bacterial fighting purposes the virus was passed on unknowingly,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.

“This is the true story behind the pandemic. There is still controversy among American scientists as to whether the virus itself is derived from bats, snakes or created in a laboratory.”
