Covid’s job could be mandatory for therapists and carers says Dr Chris Whitty

Step One Part One: March 8th

From 8 March, all pupils and students will return to schools and colleges across England.

Permission will also be for childcare wrapped around a resume, paving the way for after and pre-school clubs to reopen.

People will be allowed to meet one other person outside for fun, for example, a picnic or meeting for coffee.

Care home residents will be able to name one regular visitor.

The Government will still have a home stay order in place, with travel for non-essential purposes still prohibited.

Phase One Part Two: March 29th

From 29 March, outdoor gatherings of up to six or more groups from up to two homes will be allowed. These gatherings will be allowed to take place in private gardens.

Outdoor sports such as tennis and basketball will be allowed to reopen and people will have the opportunity to take part in formally organized outdoor sports.

This is when the Government’s leadership at home will come to an end, with ministers encouraging people to ‘stay local’.

However, it is expected that the Government will not define what is local, but rather choose to rely on people using common sense to decide. times.

People will still be told to work from home where possible while international travel is still prohibited unless for essential reasons.

Phase Two: April 12th

Non-essential retail will be allowed to open as well as personal care premises such as hairdressers, barber and nail salons.

Public buildings such as libraries, museums and art galleries will be allowed to welcome customers.

At the same time, guest centers and outdoor spaces such as theme parks will be given the green light to reopen in some form.

However, there will still be rules regarding home mixing: Of course any activity that involves being indoors will be restricted to members of the same household.

Gyms and swimming pools will reopen from April 12 except on the basis that people go on their own or with their own home.

Pubs and restaurants can reopen but at this stage can only have outside customers.

Trips to a pub or residence must adhere to the rules of social communication, so no more than two families or rule six.

The Government will not reinstate the old requirement for people to order substantial food with alcohol while the old 10pm carcass is unpopulated.

Customers in guest establishments must also sit down when ordering food or drink, with order at the bar prohibited.

Camping and holiday areas where indoor facilities are not shared by other homes can reopen but trips must be limited to one home.

Funerals will be allowed to continue for up to 30 people, while the rules on wedding receptions will be reduced to allow the number of guests to increase from six to 15.

Phase Three: May 17th

Both house requirements and a rule of six requirements for outdoor gatherings will be closed but gatherings of more than 30 people in places such as parks will be banned.

Crucially, internal mixing will be allowed again. Rule six or larger group from up to two families will be allowed to meet.

However, ministers will be monitoring this to see if regulations can be reduced further.

This is also the stage at which pubs and restaurants and other guest outlets will be able to open in, with a rule of six and two home boundaries in place. But groups meeting outside at pubs will be allowed to be bigger.

Entertainment venues such as cinemas and children’s playgrounds will be able to reopen, as well as hotels and bed and breakfasts. Indoor adult sports groups and exercise classes can reopen.

Modifications will also be made to sporting and performance events in indoor venues with a capacity of 1,000 people or half full
