Tracie first appeared in Coronation Street from 1982-1984 playing the role of Sharon Gaskell.
She returned to reproduce her career in 1999, but left the Cobbles shortly thereafter, with her last program appearing in November of the same year.
After her time as a soap star, Tracie excelled on the big screen, appearing in Shirley Valentine in 1989 and went on to win two Olivier Awards for her roles in Hairspray and She Loves Me.
