The Ministry of Health announced this morning (Friday) that in the last day, 830 Israelis have been diagnosed as positive for the corona virus. Of all patients in Israel, there are 470 in critical condition and 212 respirators. In addition, the Ministry of Health updated that 5,213,638 Israelis were vaccinated with the first vaccine dose, and 4,690,678 of them had already received the second vaccine dose. Despite the numbers, the IDF warned against complacency and argued that caution should continue to be followed and the guidelines maintained, as the plague had not passed.
Meanwhile, the infection coefficient, which has been declining in recent days, recorded a slight increase and stopped at 0.59, compared with 0.55 the previous day. In addition, the Ministry of Health reported that the percentage of positive tests yesterday was 1.3%, with 830 patients being diagnosed out of 65,406 performed in Israel the previous day.
This morning, the IDF also updated the latest morbidity data, according to which there are 119 soldiers and officers who have been diagnosed as positive for the virus and their condition is defined as mild. Apart from them, there are another 659 servicemen in the army who are in home isolation.
Since the outbreak of the corona in Israel last year, 831,160 blue Israelis have been diagnosed with the virus, with the current number of active patients standing at 11,642, with an additional 47,816 Israelis currently in isolation in their homes.
