Corona patient in advanced pregnancy was hospitalized tonight (Monday) in critical condition at Beilinson Hospital. The 35-year-old mother arrived at the hospital in the 31st week of her pregnancy, after her health deteriorated.

Upon her arrival at the hospital, a decision was made to urinate and give birth urgently, and the caesarean section was soon completed. The baby was resuscitated and in a stable condition, and was transferred to preterm care at the Schneider Center for Pediatrics. The aforesaid midwife is hospitalized in the corona intensive care unit in the Beilinson underground hospital complex in a critical condition. The director of the intensive care unit, Dr. Yael Habib, said: “In this wave we are encountering more and more cases of young people with a serious illness that the disease definitely affects them to a life-threatening state. It is no longer an illness of adults with background diseases.”
