The young man was staying at home when he complained that he was feeling pain in his chest and collapsed. According to a statement from Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in the city, after it collapsed, the young man lost a pulse. The Magen David Adom team that arrived at his home performed intensive resuscitation operations on him and evacuated him to the shock room in the emergency department of the hospital.
Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, the ward staff was forced to determine the young man’s death. The hospital learned that the young man’s family was in solitary confinement after being exposed to a verified patient. In a test performed on him, he was found to be positive for the virus.
According to the testimony of a relative of the young man, he had no background illnesses and he probably also did not get vaccinated against corona. It is not known if he had symptoms of the virus.

The Ministry of Health announced this morning that the rate of positive tests yesterday, which stood at 5.9%, is the lowest since January 2, when the rate of positive results stood at 5.6%. According to the data, 4,298 out of the 75,836 corona virus tests performed yesterday were found to be positive.
