Contrast Security acquires Israeli CloudEssence

The American company Contrast Security, which specializes in developing application security testing solutions (Application Security Testing), announced the acquisition of the Israeli start-up company CloudEssence and an investment in the establishment of a development center in Israel, which will focus on application security technology.

CloudEssence is developing an application security solution through security testing as part of the development process (DevOps). The company’s unique technology allows developers to write and release secure code in a simple and fast way. This uniqueness is reflected in the ability to perform static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) tests in a fully autonomous and automated manner and get accurate results in just a few minutes without the need for complex installation.

The company was founded several months ago by three founders: Ram Yunish, former CEO and founder of Cymplify, which was sold to Checkpoint about a year ago; Tal Melamed, a world-renowned application security expert, and Itai Rosenman, experienced development manager for innovative cyber systems in the cloud environment.
