Purchased for Betar Jerusalem. The 25-year-old winger Marko Jankovic has signed with the club for two and a half years and he will land in Israel in the coming days to join the team. He is expected to earn 350,000 euros per season.

Jankovic was recently released from Italian side Spal, who play in the second division. He managed to make only two appearances in Serie B this season, before receiving the release announcement last January. Last season, he managed to make 6 appearances in the senior league, before being loaned to Crotone where he played seven times in the uniform of the team that went up at the end of the league season. During his career he also played for Partizan Belgrade, Maribor and OKF Belgrade.

The sports channel learned that coach Slobodan Drapic and former Maccabi Netanya striker Patos Bechirai pressured the player to come. In fact, he was already on his way to the Polish Warsaw Legion, and eventually joined Betar.

At this stage, the team has six foreigners, and at the moment at least Diego Vardaska is not leaving despite interest from Hapoel Haifa and Bnei Sakhnin. The group is making efforts to find flights to Mathausenio and Antoine Conte in order to bring them to Israel as soon as possible. Contacts are also underway for the addition of Raz Twizer from Hapoel Acre.

On another issue, after the outbreak of the corona in Betar Jerusalem, the team’s trend towards Monday’s game against Bnei Yehuda has not changed. The yellow-blacks are interested in postponing the date, and the club said: “Today we are training without a goalkeeper. Six players are sure not to train and another seven only with a doctor’s approval. That way it is impossible to prepare for the game. For over a week we did not train at all. “Half the staff is still sick and it is not clear how players return, when some of them had symptoms.”

The professional team is very concerned about the situation and it is clear to him that getting the team back on its feet is not an easy task. The league administration said: “The decision when to return Betar Jerusalem to activity is up to the Ministry of Health and not Betar.”
