Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen has announced the new generation of the company’s prestigious muffler headphones, the BeoPlay HX. These are high-end ‘over-the-ear’ headphones, offering up to 35 hours of playback with an active noise canceling (ANC) mechanism.
BeoPlay HX are made of aluminum combined with plastic, with the headphone pads covered in genuine leather with a memory sponge. Inside is a pair of 40 mm diameter neodymium magnet drivers. Four microphones are responsible for the noise cancellation mechanism both in audio and during conversation, when the mute volume can be controlled as well as turning off and listening to the environment directly through the app.

In terms of battery, BeoPlay HX offer an extremely long usage time, of about 35 working hours. Compared to the competition, this is no small jump, except for Sony with the WH-1000XM4, which offers 30 hours of use. They connect via Bluetooth 5.1 to several devices at the same time, such as a computer and a telephone, without the need to reconnect.
Although AirPods Max are even more expensive, BeoPlay HX are still among the most expensive headphones on the market, when they are offered at a price of 499 dollars (about 1660 shekels before taxes). The company’s previous model, the Beoplay H9, was sold at a similar price, but the company has an even more expensive model. The BeoPlay H95 announced last year at a price of $ 800 on the occasion of the brand’s 95 years.
