The Brazilian, who had to play as a stopper, could not cope with United’s attack. Klopp has a big headache in the back
Manchester United and Liverpool gave us tonight (Sunday) a cup meeting for the Pantheon, at the end of which the Red Devils defeated the champion 2: 3 in the last 32 stage and will continue to the next stage.
It was a meeting between two teams with a completely different momentum, with Manchester United coming in at their best form in recent years, and the champions facing off in perhaps its biggest crisis in the Jurgen Klopp era, with 5 games without a win and 4 consecutive games without a goal.
Remember, just about a week ago the two teams met and we got a particularly disappointing 90 minutes, but tonight it was a completely different story, with offensive football from the first minute and a celebration of goals in one of the best games of the season.
Although Liverpool finally saw the net move with a pair of Muhammad Salah, its patchwork defense continued to trouble it time and time again, and it paid a heavy price for it with goals from Greenwood, Rashford, and Bruno Fernandez’s winning goal with a huge free kick.
