A police volunteer who got into trouble while arriving at an educational institution in Beit Shemesh, felt his life was in danger and fired into the air, the police announced today (Tuesday). The policeman arrived at the institution on suspicion of acting against the closure instructions and tried to locate the manager of the place. The policeman felt his life was in danger after people gathered around him and threw stones at him, firing his weapon into the air. There were no casualties in the incident, and riots calmed down after more police officers arrived on the scene.

Meanwhile, the police are continuing their enforcement activities, with 4,584 reports recorded by police officers in the past day for violations of corona regulations across the country. During the riots, police arrested 11 rioters for questioning.
