ClassPass launches Covid-19 vaccine detector

NEW YORK, February 17, 2021 / PRNewswire / – ClassPass, the leading fitness and wellness network, announced today that vaccine establishments are now audited within the app and website. Members of the vaccination center closest to their home can easily diagnose and obtain information including working hours and contact information for nearby clinics and health offices.

“We are in a global health crisis and all companies should help support relief and vaccination efforts however they can. The use of the ClassPass platform to Connecting members to vaccination centers is a natural extension of our technology and how we can contribute to preventing the spread of COVID-19, “says Jeff Bladt, VP of Prices and Inventories. “We have in-depth knowledge of how we can help people find accurate and up-to-date information on local businesses after directing millions of users to places of fitness and wellbeing across 30 countries. “

At launch, vaccine establishments will be inspected Boston, Chicago and New York City with additional cities soon to be introduced Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. While members will not be able to book meetings within the app, they will find information on how to book meetings at scheduled clinics. To find places nearby or look for a relative in another city, members can search for the “COVID Vaccination Center” within the ClassPass app and website.

“The process of finding a vaccination meeting can be challenging and many people don’t know where to start. I was thrilled to hear that ClassPass, a high-end touch app that has already trained people to find vital health information, is downsizing their platform to make it easier to identify vaccine sites and secure appointments. Anything that can address this information gap is crucial in getting more people vaccinated, “said Dr. Vin Gupta, emergency care pulmonologist, health policy expert, and NBC News Medical Examiner.

ClassPass has been working with all fitness and wellness businesses currently working to put forward their unique COVID safety and hygiene policies and center for members returning to personal experiences. The 30,000 fitness participants and more than 11,500 fitness and beauty partners were asked to provide updated details about their COVID policies including mask requirements, contactless screening and capacity limitation. ClassPass has also worked with 5,000 major studios worldwide to add digital classes as an option for home-based members.

This isn’t the first time ClassPass has hired their technology for social and health reasons. Through the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, ClassPass helped voters find accurate information on where to register and cast their ballot. In June 2020 following nationwide protests and a call to action on racial justice, ClassPass used their platform to bring together local events and panels and encouraged their community to engage in the conversation.
