Google has begun preparations to release the next version of the Chrome browser. Available in beta, the Chrome 89 is ready to introduce a wide range of new features and enhancements.
One of the new features that is going to arrive with Chrome 89 is the enhanced Sandbox privacy box. The company intends to make the sandbox an “environment for more secure personalization that will also protect the privacy of users.” The beta version offers the first look of the personal privacy sandbox.
Another highlight is the Discover Feed. Google is making tweaks to how the content appears on the feed. According to AndroidPolice, the content currently appears in cards but is separated by separators. The updated interface will make these cards more rooted. The cards no longer show the description making them richer visually.
There is a new interface for accessing website information. When users tap on the information section, it will give you one pop-up to check camera access and audio and other permissions.
Other small new features that come with Chrome 89 are reminders for unread articles saved on the read list, a new reporting API for site path usage, and support for AVIF content natively using AV1 decoders on Android and WebView.
Google recently released Chrome v88 for consumers. The updated Chrome browser will bring new password protection features. This includes easy shortcuts to determine weak passwords and quick access for editing.

In Chrome 88, you can now perform a simple scan to easily identify any weak passwords and take action, ”said Google in a blog post.
