Chris Paul has made history, Houston continues to crash

Chris Paul made history tonight (Sunday through Monday) when he became the sixth player in NBA history to reach 10.00 assists, leading the great Phoenix to a 94: 111 victory over the Lakers without the bruised Baron James and of course Anthony Davis.

Paul joined John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Mark Jackson and Magic Johnson on the prestigious list. By the end of the season, if he continues at the current pace, he will be able to pass the last three and reach the third place in the list of assist morals in the history of the league, and the hand is still out.

In addition, Paul recorded his first triple-double of the season with 11 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds and became the oldest player to record a triple-double in the Phoenix uniform. His great ability is helping the Suns who have established themselves in second place with the win over the Lakers and are expected to establish themselves there even more following the difficult period that is expected soon for the champion, without its two stars.

LeBron, who was injured in Saturday’s game, will be out for an “unlimited period of time,” as defined in Los Angeles, and without him the team in gold-purple trailed throughout the game against Phoenix and is expected to have great difficulty in the future. City rival Clippers is lurking and will try to take advantage of this to climb to third place at the expense of the champion.

Houston continues to crash and tonight the team suffered its 20th consecutive loss and once again broke the club’s negative record for consecutive losses. It, too, was particularly painful, with 114: 112 to Oklahoma City after John Wall’s foul to a three-pointer that could have won the game right on the buzzer. The Rockets look like a team that could break the negative record of losses in the NBA, which stands at 28. There is no doubt that Houston misses James Harden.

Until 48 hours ago, the answer to the question of who would win the NBA rookie title this season was unequivocal – Lamello Ball. The great guard of Charlotte, selected in the third pick in the last draft, records an excellent season with 15.9 points, 6.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game and leads Charlotte, along with Gordon Hayward, to a good season that may yet end in the playoffs.

But in the last game of the Hornets Bull he broke his right hand and he is expected to miss all that is left of the 2020/21 season. This is a hard blow to the Hornets, whose hopes of returning to the playoffs may be hurt, and an equally hard blow to Bull himself, who played only 57% of the games this season, which may not be enough for him when the votes enter the rookie race this season. James Weissman and Anthony Edwards, who looked excellent recently, will try to give a push in the final part of the season and threaten the title.

The one who missed the rookie title this season for the same reason last year is Zion Williamson, who played just 24 games in New Orleans due to injury. This season he is already healthy and showing how much talent he has, and tonight he showed it to Denver as well. The great forward scored 30 points on 69% from the field and led the Pelicans to 108: 113 over the Nuggets, despite a triple-double by Nikola Jukic (29, 10 and 10). Meanwhile, Williamson continues his monstrous season with an average of 25.7 points per game (11th place in the league) and 7 rebounds, and this year, his team is on track for the playoffs, or at least for the playoffs. Maybe next year Amelo will do the same.
