Actor and actor Chris D’Elia has faced the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against him last summer.
Speaking out for the first time in months since he went into denial, he posted a 10-minute YouTube video on Friday. Commenting on the allegations made against him, he said he had a “problem” and that sex was “taking control of his life.
” I know it’s been a long time since you heard from me, ” he started the video before saying that his first statement was that all his relationships have been consensual and legal.
“It looks bad, and it doesn’t show the breadth of what happened,” Chris said in the video. “I stand by the fact that all my relationships have been consensual and legal, and that’s just it. That’s the truth. ”
D’Elia said he had taken medical advice and treatment while out of the public eye and described his lifelong “problem” with sex and described her his part.
” Sex was in control of my life, ” he continued. ” And I have a problem. And I have a problem … I need to work on that. ‘He said when his career began in the early thirties,’ ‘sex got a lot easier’ ‘. ” I felt like, oh wow, I don’t have to work so hard. I can just show up and have sex. Or roll into a city and look at my inbox and then just start writing it, ” he said.
It was my focus all the time. I had a problem, and I have a problem. It was out of control, so here I have the opportunity to apologize to the people caught in that sh-t, and the lies I would tell my girlfriend, my friends, and I’m sorry. ”
He continued: ‘And that’s not the person I want to be, and I’m sorry for that. It makes me feel embarrassed and it makes me feel bad. ‘
D’Elia has been accused of multiple sexual assaults and sexual harassment last summer after a Twitter user shared her experience with the comedian on social media .
