The authorities will be assisted by thousands of small tenants’ associations, in order to get life back on track as soon as possible in the district, which has almost ten million inhabitants.
Authorities in China have indicated that the rooms in the isolation complex include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, toilets, showers and full furniture. The state television network CCTV broadcast a special report showing the agile construction of the compound, alongside flags of the ruling Communist Party. The complex is designed to accommodate more than 4,000 people, thus meeting the need for isolation rooms.

Beijing fears that the re-emergence of the virus in the country is linked to the penetration of new strains of corona into its territory.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, a territory in China, new restrictions and measures were announced today (Tuesday) to prevent the spread of the virus. The self-government in the territory extended the work instructions from home to civil servants and tightened the procedures for wearing masks and moving by public transport. The move comes after a sharp rise in cases of infection in Hong Kong, which has previously managed to control the spread of the virus in its territory.
