China expands locksmiths, delay local political conference

China has extended lockouts and postponed a major political conference in an area adjacent to Beijing that is a scene of China’s worst COVID-19 revolution

BEIJING – Lockdowns has been expanded and a major political conference has been postponed in a province next to Beijing that is a scene of China’s worst COVID-19 revolution.

Gu’an city residents just south of Beijing have been told to stay at home for seven days starting from Tuesday. Similar measures were ordered across the country, especially in downtown Wuhan where 11 million people were locked up for 76 days last winter as the pandemic was just beginning.

Hebei has also postponed meetings of the region’s Population Congress and its advisory group which are usually held in February. It was unclear when the meetings would take place.

China last year suspended the National People’s Congress and its advisory group in Beijing from March to May, shortening the sessions and restricting media access as a sign of how badly the Communist Party was management handles the revolution.

One new case was reported in Beijing, where more than a dozen communities and cities were locked up, and one in the northeastern Heilongjiang region, bringing China’s total number to 87,591 with 4,634 death.

That uprising comes amid measures to prevent further spread of the virus during next month’s New Year’s holidays. Authorities have urged citizens not to travel, ordered schools to close early weeks and conduct large-scale tests.

At a press conference in Geneva, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the scientists, who come from several countries, would focus on how COVID-19 jumped to humans first.

“Studies will begin in Wuhan to determine the possible origin of disease in early cases,” Tedros said.

A recent Associated Press study found that China has been strictly controlling all studies on the origin of the coronavirus, and any WHO team within China will have an agenda and agreed with the Chinese government.
