Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has revealed he is aiming for Premier League glory for his side this season.
Giroud, 34, is Chelsea’s top scorer this season with nine goals to his name and has recently received praise from Frank Lampard for his consistency, especially as he faces stiff competition from the likes of Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner.
In an interview with Chelsea FC, Giroud said: “Since Liverpool are not flying like the previous two years we can enter the title race, that is my target.”
Giroud was responding because with this season ‘s title race looking so tight, Chelsea could have a voice in the end of the season’ s business.
The Frenchman said: “Of course we have to learn from the disappointing results but we are not going to change our target because it is very tight. I also want to win this Premier League, it is something that I want a lot. “
Giroud is on his way to the sidelines after being left on the sidelines of the first half at the start of the campaign.
