Topher Grace is back. The ’70s exhibition actor – okay, yes, he has made lotta Hollywood movies ever since – he is returning to network sitcom after the Fox show ended in 2006. In ABC ‘s upcoming ensemble comedy Home Economics, a trio of sisters in different financial situations: Tom (Grace) lives a middle-class life, his younger brother Connor (Jimmy Tatro) is extremely wealthy, and his sister Sarah (Caitlin McGee) is scarce holding on to it.

As the trailer above shows, it is hard for Tom and Sarah to ask Connor for a loan while revealing some of his own personal issues to them. Home Economics is a family comedy that looks at how despite their very different lifestyles, the three sisters come together in heartwarming, uncomfortable, annoying ways. The show is inspired by the life of writer and action producer Michael Colton. Grace is also an EP. Home Economics also Karla Souza and Sasheer Zamata.

And if you’re wondering how this new ABC sitcom will differ from the many other family comedies, don’t worry, because the network is sensitive and ready to parody itself while inspiring Home Economics, as can be seen in this clip below, in which the display is marketed through a lens of other beats such as Modern family, Blackish, and viz Am Bachelor and Dancing with the stars.

Home Economics premieres Wednesday, April 7th.
