Apple is stopping installing the iMac Pro and will sell the ones that left it behind “As long as the supply lasts,” according to a new message added to the desktop output page on Friday.

MacRumors first saw the new notification on the iMac Pro product page and then confirmed with Apple that the device is shutting down. Apple told the revolution that once supply runs out, the iMac Pro will no longer be available. Of course, the only version available now the standard version, which costs $ 5,000, has Apple removed additional update options.

Per MacRumors, Apple said that the 27-inch IMac released last summer, which is likely to be the last one with an Intel chip, the preferred choice by most iMac pro users. The company added that customers who need even more performance and expansion can opt for the Mac Pro.

Released in 2017, the iMac Pro was released as Apple’s most powerful Mac computer at the time, or as we called it back in the day, a “Full-power machine.” Over the years, however, it was never clear whether the iMac Pro sold well. In fact, he didn’t get much hardware updates since its inception.

His place in the Apple family was also up in the air. As indicated by 9to5Mac, Mac Pro 2019 was also targeted at people who wanted a high-end workstation. He also opposed a rivalry between brothers from the high performance iMac models.

Plus, keeping the iMac Pro on the shelves may not have made much sense to Apple since it was reportedly designed redesign the iMac and release new versions later this year. The redesigned iMacs ditch the Intel chip and replace it with Apple Silicon.

It is reported that the 27-inch 2020 IMac is the last to feature the traditional iMac design, or thick bezels around the display with an aluminum chin and a large Apple logo in the middle. If true, this was the first update of the iMac in nine years. T.his company has also said working on two new Mac Pros, which are the most expensive desktops.

While we may be missing out on the iMac Pro, Appleworld seems to be full of exciting new products. Bye bye iMac Pro. It has been good to know.
