Although he is without a team, Maor Buzaglo is still at the forefront of Israeli football. And tonight (Saturday) he answered the surfers’ questions on his private Instagram page and addressed the talk of retirement and the desire to play for Maccabi Haifa.
“Football is my life and there is nothing I love more than being on the field,” Buzaglo said at first. “Unfortunately I am not currently part of a team, but I am optimistic towards 2021. For sure, I try to keep fit even though there is no tangible drive and no crowd that gives a boost of energy. Injuries to professional players feel like the end of the world, it straight throws you into thoughts of “Continuing a career and depression, you have to work hard, stay positive and be patient.”
When asked about the thoughts of retirement, Buzaglo replied: “I am not always mentally strong, I also have difficult moments and breaking moments, but even though the period is difficult and the situation is complex – it did not even cross my mind.
