Burglary at Nabataean base: Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident

The break-in to the Nabataean base: Police today (Sunday) arrested three suspects involved in the burglary incident at the Nabataean Air Force Base about two weeks ago, during which an illegal resident of Dahariya, a taxi driver, a resident of Arara in the Negev and a resident of Dimona, were staying illegally. The three were questioned on suspicion of vehicle theft, risking human life in a traffic lane, entering an IDF facility and staying illegally, and tomorrow they will be brought before the Magistrate’s Court in Be’er Sheva to discuss their case.

The beginning of the unusual event was a report of a car theft from Dimona received by the police on February 8th. Ituran saddles located the vehicle near the Nabataean base, and the suspect noticed them, starting with a wild ride, burst into the IDF base in Nabataean and fled on foot. IDF-assisted police forces conducted searches to locate him.

According to the suspicion, on the eve of the incident, the suspects conspired to commit the theft of a vehicle and transfer it to the Palestinian Authority, with one of them driving the stolen vehicle while the taxi driver was accompanying it. According to the suspicion, immediately after the incident at the IDF base, the taxi driver picked up the suspect in the theft of the vehicle and smuggled him into the PA’s territory.

In the Negev region, a joint IDF station was set up for the Dimona station and the Magen unit. In Dimona, and will be brought before the Magistrate’s Court in Be’er Sheva tomorrow.
