On February 23, BTS took their rightful place among myths when they performed a set of five songs MTV without pollution, home to some of the most impressive achievements in music.
For those who weren’t around in the ’90s, the show invited some of the greatest artists of the time to introduce fans to the essence of their music, playing acoustic images of their songs. and taking a close look at fans into their creative process. Old artists such as Lauryn Hill, Bon Jovi, Jay-Z, Maxwell and most famously, Nirvana, have all achieved a high level. MTV without pollution, and on Tuesday night, it was a BTS version. For an organization known for their amazing dance moves and complex levels, this was an opportunity for the septet to show the world that they are artists above all else.
The program began with BTS ‘first ever showcase of their animated disco-funk BE rian, “Telepathy.” The track is all about finding an escape from the tension of life and was written and written by rapper Suga. The rapper explained during MTV without pollution that the song came about after being inspired by old demos. For the performance itself, the septet kept it fun and playful while playing in a home arcade in their favorite steep house costume, as a symbol of the time they spent in quarantine.
After explaining the creative process behind “Telepathy,” the mood shifted to a quieter tone for “Blue & Gray.” The pop ballad was also a debut for the first time written by V and was originally intended to be the upcoming solo mix, “Blue & Gray” bringing fans listening on a journey recognizing feelings of sadness and uncertainty.
The nature of the song resonated with the emote vocal line with every note they hit, with the members appearing one-on-one for their parts, dressed in simple gray suits. It was hard not to think of mourning, about the death of 2020 and all that we lost (and are losing). The design of the set on this particular section was literal; despite the gloomy light, a beautiful field of flowers and tall grass filled an empty corridor with something like hope on a difficult day.
of course No pollution in style, the group then went into the cover of Coldplay’s classic “Fix You.” To the surprise (mostly) of fans, it was a special moment that proved the further potential of BTS. When BTS made the pop rock ballad there was an elegant harmony between the members of the voice and the rap line – one of the main vocal events was the strong voice, the director RM’s breath adding to Jin’s elegant high notes.
BTS completed their program of No pollution with their part. 1 hits “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite. ”Played by their live band Ghost, BTS brought us back to that essence MTV without pollution about: great music and great vibes. While “Life Goes On” is a sweet and comfortable song, the live band, along with the fast looking prep group / country club / chic college professor, added the right amount to do it as one of the favorite performances of the song so far. At the same time, “Dynamite,” was a celebration in every word, with BTS dressed so fresh and clean in white suits in front of a wall full of the band’s platinum and gold plates. Flex is not so calm as to remind the world that their legacy should never be questioned.
The most amazing thing about BTS is that they are creating a path in an industry that is less than accepting non-white and international artists – and doing it with style and true art. . The septet had established themselves as myths long before they accomplished many or. 1s on Billboard or nominated as a Grammy, but BTS continues to build the legacy, making sure their names are engraved in music history.
