Britain’s Got Talent’s new season ‘to test overseas due to COVID-19 restrictions’

Britain’s Got Talent ‘plan to hear overseas competitors hope to save new season from COVID-19 restrictions’

Britain’s Got Talent is reportedly organizing trials for the new overseas season in a desperate effort to save the show from COVID-19 restrictions.

Competitors are expected to be filmed in locations around the world to circumvent the usual Tier 4 rules in London.

Their performances will then be posted back via video link to the UK’s top judges, according to The Sun on Saturday.

We hope the new action plan will save ITV ‘s show from being postponed or further delayed as filming is expected later this month. The acts were expected to perform at the London Coliseum Theater.

According to insiders, the new approach will allow more international acts to participate and increase the value of Britain’s Got Talent output.

They told The Sun: ‘It would get around that acts can’t go in to take part in the show as they normally would and mean that bosses can still put on a show.

The format has been commissioned in 58 countries to have teams. It will have high output value and cinematic feel. ‘

The new production method was already tested at the semi-finals last season when the Indian dance team, X1X, were unable to return to the UK amid the pandemic.

London and the South East were locked in Stage 4 in December to counter the rapid spread of the virus.

A source told the publication the same month that changing the rules had ‘damaged’ the show.

They said: ‘Covid is causing damage by BGT filming. The reps want to keep spectators calm and put a smile on people’s faces but the safety of the team, the team and the competitors is the priority.

It is at the heart of all decisions. Live audiences and their reaction are a vital part of the show’s success as well, so producers want to keep that element and, if it all means delay, that’s how it will be. ‘

Amanda Holden has previously confirmed that Simon Cowell will return to the judging panel with her and her fellow judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon this year.

In 2020, diversity star Ashley Banjo replaced Simon on the BGT live shows after recovering from a traumatic injury while Amanda was promoted to chief judge.

Meanwhile, various guest stars filled him on America Got Talent, including Kelly Clarkson, 38.

Previously appearing on Loose Women, Amanda said: ‘Yes, Mr Cowell is returning. I spoke to him on the phone a few weeks ago and he feels on top of the world and he seems to look elegant too.

So it will be back for the new season we are filming in January. I can’t wait for it. ‘
