In addition, the story of the marriage of Daphne and Simon Basset would continue, as well as the developments of Lady Portia Featherington after the death of her husband. The mystery of Lady Whistledown’s identity also continues.

Julia Quinn describes her follow-up books as ‘second epilogues’.

They are the Duke And I, the Lord whom I loved, an offer from a gentleman, dancing Mister Bridgerton, to Sir Phillip, with love, when he was evil, he is a kiss, and on the way to the wedding.

There were also two other books focusing on the writings of Lady Whistledown from the Bridgerton series, published in 2003 and 2004.

Bridgerton is expected to pick up more than 63 million views by the end of January.

Netflix hasn’t confirmed further installments but it seems inevitable.
