Bradley Beal ‘mad’ after a 60-point night, losing Wizards to 76ers

January 7 (UPI) – Bradley Beal All-Star Washington Wizards said he was “crazy” after earning 60 points at a high against the Philadelphia 76ers. The former guard also said he would not “count” the points as his team had lost.

May 20 made 35 of 35 hits and 7 of 10 hits from a 3-point range in Wednesday’s 141-136 position in Philadelphia. He also made 13 free throws, collected seven rebounds and had five assists.

“I’m crazy,” Beal told reporters. “I don’t count any of the highs in my career that have been missed. We can throw it out the window with the other two or three I’ve found.

“I just want to win. Sometimes it makes me score 50, 60 or whatever. I just want to win.”

May scored 53 points and 55 points, respectively, in a return loss in February. He had 57 points through three quarters Wednesday in Philadelphia. He made just one bullet attempt over the last 12 minutes.

Sixers guard Seth Curry scored 15 points in the first quarter to lead Philadelphia to an early 33-24 win. Beal had 13 points in the first quarter.

The Wizards guard went out in another 19 points in the second quarter, but the 76ers still maintained an 82-67 lead at halftime. Beal scored another 25 points and made three attempts from a 3-point field in the third quarter to help Washington close the gap to 10 points.

The Wizards climbed back and steered three times down the stretch, but couldn’t hold on for victory.

Russell Westbrook, another Wizards guard, scored 20 points and scored 12 assists and eight rebounds in the loss. Sixers teammate Joel Embiid had 38 points.

Curry scored 28 points and made 6 of 7 3-point field attempts. Sixers shook Ben Simmons ’guard in 17 points, 12 assists and six rebounds in the win.
