Boris Johnson pulls in ‘inappropriate’ free school meals blockers in a call by Marcus Rashford

Man Utd star Marcus Rashford said he had a “good conversation” with Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the food ban issues.

Disadvantaged families across the UK have been harassed this week by feeding them scarce food parcels to feed their children.

Packages have replaced a £ 30 voucher, but the total value of food in each parcel – which is expected to last a week – is estimated to be just over £ 5.

Rashford has been a major driver behind the provision of free school meals for children in need, and has twice pushed the Government to a U – turn over their policies.

And the United and England campaign has once again held an open debate with Johnson about the latest problems.

“He has assured me that he is committed to rectifying the issue with the food constraints and that a full review of the supply chain is underway,” Rashford tweeted.

“He agrees that images of obstructions cannot be shared on Twitter.”

One of the parcels shared on social media contains two jacket potatoes, a loaf of bread, cheese chips, a small bag of pasta, one tin of beans, two carrots, a tomato, some fruit and yogurts.

Sarah, who goes to the Twitter Roadside Mom treatment, is disabled and relies on a free school meal system to help provide for her daughter.

She described the hard moment she opened the parcel to reveal the contents, which she estimated was worth £ 5.22.

“As I was unpacking that food parcel in my living room and looking at what was in it, it felt very sad and awful, and one of my children came in and I saw him put this out on the floor and ask why, “said Sarah BBC Breakfast .

“I said I was going to picture it because I didn’t think it looked like much and I can see the baby realizing that this was what I was given to eat for a week and just feeling of sadness.

“Where did the rest of the food go? You know, this is going to be a week-long meal. Why is it so big?”

The food service provider Chartwells has agreed to look into the situation and try to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

BBC Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker showed his high praise for Rashford’s ongoing efforts, writing on Twitter: “Very good again.”
