Ms McKinnell was referring to comments made by Mr Johnson in May 2018 when he told Sky News: ‘If Trump can repair North Korea and Iran’s nuclear deal I don’t see why it’s less of a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize than Barack Obama. ‘
The committee’s dilemma came after YouTube announced it was suspending Mr Trump’s account for ‘at least seven days’ because of concerns about its ‘continuing potential for violence’.
‘Following a review, and despite concerns about the continuing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J Trump’s channel for violating our policies,’ YouTube said in a statement published on Twitter.
