The Prince of Wales arrived at the back of King Edward VII’s hospital in Marylebone at around 3.30pm on Saturday to visit his father, 99, who was admitted last week as a ‘precautionary measure’.

The hashtags #princephilip and #princephillip have been waiting on Twitter this morning, with many criticizing heir-to-throne visits during the ongoing lockdown in England.

Many jumped on the Prince of Wales’s defense, with many saying they would not ‘go on a royal visit, saying he was just’ going to see a sick father in hospital ‘.

On Sunday afternoon, several London police officers were pictured outside the hospital where the Duke of Edinburgh is being treated.

Piers Morgan, guest of Good Morning Britain, was vocal in his defense of The Prince, saying: ‘What a sad picture. A tearful son after seeing his 99-year-old ill father in hospital. If your first instinct is to spout abuse or rage about Prince Charles visiting Prince Philip today, close the f * ck up. ‘

Charles was the first member of the royal family to visit Philip; The heir to the throne, 72, is thought to have spent about 30 minutes with his father after making the 100-mile journey from Highgrove in Gloucestershire to the capital.

The Prince made a clear appearance when he was moved away from a London hospital, which is currently considering visitors in ‘exceptional circumstances’ due to Covid’s pandemic.

The social media response began shortly after photos of The Prince appeared driving away from a London hospital.

One Twitter user raged: Not respecting #princephillip. But double standards. Is Prince Charles fined? ‘

Another asked: Why is it possible for #PrinceCharles to visit #princephillip’s father in the hospital? Relatives who lost family through # Covid-19 could not say goodbye to loved ones. again double levels in our country. ‘

However, there were many who protected the way. One user wrote: ‘There is a background about Bonnie Prince Charlie going to see his father sick in the hospital where humanity went in this country ffs’.

Another wrote: ‘Prince Philip has a family like all of us. Who loves it and doesn’t want to think about life without it. Only #PrinceCharles has visited, like many across the country. This pandemic has turned people into ****** s. ‘

A third said: ‘I didn’t get the chance to run to the hospital that my girlfriend was flown too and I didn’t get to go to the funeral to say goodbye either. Does this mean that I beg Prince Charles to visit his father. NO. What happened to showing a little kindness guys eh? ‘

London’s King Edward VII Hospital: Royals prefer where Philip, Queen, Charles, Kate and the Queen Mother were treated – and where Princess Margaret sadly passed away

Prince Philip will be in a familiar environment at the private hospital in Westminster after his previous admission in December 2019 and April 2018.

The hospital, with only 56 beds across its wards, was established in 1899 to treat veterans and the general public on the return of soldiers from the Second Boer War.

King Edward VII was the first patron of the hospital in 1901 and is still recognized by the royal family.

In recent years, it has been used by Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge.

In 1995, her right hip was given to the Queen Mother while she was in hospital.

The 90-minute operation was performed at the renowned hospital and she had previously been treated there.

At the same time, in 2002, Princess Margaret suffered a stroke and died in hospital at the age of 71.

The Palace reiterated to MailOnline today the statement made about the Duke’s health last week, stating that the 99-year-old is likely to stay in the hospital next week, adds that all decisions were made with ‘adequate notice’.

Charles arrived at the hospital at around 3.20pm on Saturday in a gray Tesla car, and got out of the vehicle with a face mask on, before leaving about 30 minutes later.

Clarence House last night confirmed that The Prince of Wales did not stay in the capital and instead made the two-hour journey, 100 miles back to his home in Gloucestershire, instead of ‘chose to stay close to the hospital or be with his mother Queen Elizabeth in Windsor.

It is thought that Charles did not see his father from before Christmas due to coronavirus restrictions across the country, with the Duke living at Windsor Castle with the Queen.

Today is Philip ‘s sixth day in a London private facility and it’ s coming when the news comes out of Harry and Meghan ‘s departure from working royal life.

He is understood to have been aware that the news about Harry and Meghan was released yesterday.

Royal author Penny Junor said of Philip: ‘We all know he doesn’t like fuss, and he would see visiting as fashion.’

She said she did not know the reason for the trip, but said: ‘There are big things going on in the family right now and I believe it is entirely possible that Charles wanted to talk to his father. and reassure him about Harry. ‘

His visit to the hospital to see his father comes a day after he appeared with his wife The Duchess of Cornwall in a video message to persuade minorities to avoid false news and get the jaban Covid aca.

Charles, who, along with the Duchess of Cornwall, 73, has received his first coronavirus injection, has expressed concern about his ‘variable uptake’ among black and Asian Britons.

The Prince, who spent much of the first lock at Birkhall in Scotland with The Duchess of Cornwall, said last year that his father could not see how the coronavirus restrictions were continuing.
