Bloomfield Stadium, which reopened last season, is on the final list of 20 stadiums to be named World Stadium of the Year, in a survey conducted by stadiumdb, which houses the largest database of football stadiums around the world. The competition is open for surfer voting and of course there is also an expert panel which will award its score and will soon announce whether the Hippo pitch will be part of the final ten.

Bloomfield Stadium opened in the 2019/20 season after undergoing renovations that began at the end of the 2015/16 season, when it opened while the work was still going on, but soon became almost sold out in the state champions’ games when Maccabi Tel Aviv sold 20,000 subscribers, and of course Hapoel. Tel Aviv and Bnei Yehuda returned to the stadium which provided a number of games at full capacity and reminded everyone why it is one of the favorites in Israel.

Sami Ofer and Turner also participated in the stadiumdb website’s competition in the past, while the Haifa stadium reached the final of the competition and the Be’er Sheva stadium reached the fourth and most honorable place. We will soon know where Bloomfield will be ranked in the Stadiums of the Year competition for 2020.
