Bigger truth is not enough yet

While augmented reality it has long been described as the “next big thing”. Some very basic logical problems get in the way. The headphones are too clunky, there aren’t many affordable apps, and the configuration process can be tricky. But companies like Microsoft, Google, and (possibly) Apple are working on those problems, with the ultimate goal of creating mixed-reality reality devices at the consumer level. AR is coming, whether people are willing to wait for it or not.

This week on Gadget Lab, we talk to WIRED digital director Brian Barrett about the fate of mixed reality and when we all wear AR glasses.
