Big Bull actor Abhishek Bachchan: ‘I Saw the 1992 Scam and Really Enjoyed It’

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has opened up about the comparisons between his upcoming film The Big Bull and the Hansal Mehta Scam 1992 web series. Both stories are based on the Harshad Mehta securities issue.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Bachchan said there was a lot of comparison between the two but stopped after The Big Bull trailer came out. “I was thankfully aware that, after the release of our trailer, that conversation has largely ceased. I think the reason is that people have seen what we have done and understood that it is a very different approach, ”he said.

The Big Bull actor was pleased to praise the work of Hansal Mehta and his team and praised the Sony LIV web series. “I saw Scam (1992) last year and really enjoyed it. I think it was an amazing achievement for the whole team, ”he said.

Hansal Mehta had also talked about the comparisons earlier. He said, “Try not to make unfair comparisons. The same story can be multiple stories. Every storyteller will have his or her own path and should be seen independently from the other side. There are so many talents in this film just like my show. They have done their best and deserve your love. “

The Big Bull trailer takes viewers on a journey inspired by the life of Harshad Mehta. But unlike the 1992 Scam, the Big Bull does not use real names and is said to be inspired by the story of Harshad Mehta.

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Ludo on Netflix and Breathe 2 on Amazon Prime Video.

The Big Bull will start streaming on Disney + Hotstar from April 8th.
