When asked in an interview with “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell whether he thought Trump should get some information if he asked for one, Biden said, “I don’t think so. “
“I’d rather not speculate,” Biden said when asked what fears would have occurred if Trump had kept the briefings. “I just think he doesn’t have to have it – the information messages. What’s the value of giving him information? What is the impact of it at all, except that it could slip and something say? “
Traditionally, former presidents were allowed to request the same briefings as they received.

In the clip of the interview that went out Friday, Biden declined to say whether he would have condemned Trump’s vote in an impeachment lawsuit next week if he had been a senator.
“Look, I ran like hell to defeat him because I thought it wasn’t appropriate to be president,” Biden said. “I saw what everyone else was watching, what happened when that happened – that team attacked the United States Congress. But I’m not in the Senate now. I’ll let the -The assembly would make that decision. “
In remarks after the January uprising, Biden told reporters, “I’ve been saying for now, well, more than a year, (Trump) that it’s not appropriate to serve He is one of the most incompetent presidents in the history of the United States of America. “
The House of Representatives joined Trump last month, accused of inciting the Capitol uprising that left five dead.
In a pretrial summary filed Tuesday, impeachment House managers accused Trump of being “particularly responsible” for the deadly riots, saying the actions of the former head false conspiracy theories that the election was stolen forced its supporters to attack the capitol and try to prevent a peaceful movement of power by preventing Congress from confirming the election.
House impeachment managers on Thursday called for Trump to testify at the upcoming Senate impeachment lawsuit, but his legal team swiftly declined the invitation.
