US President Joe Biden today (Wednesday) sharply attacked Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a murderer. Biden made the remarks in an interview with ABC News correspondent George Stephanopoulos.
“He will pay a price for interfering in the elections in the United States. We had a long conversation. He and I know him well,” the president said, referring to the Russian leader. “I made it clear to him at the beginning of the conversation that I know who he is and that if I decide to go for an agreement to reduce weapons of mass destruction, he must be prepared,” Biden added.
When asked if he would define Putin as a murderer, Biden replied in the affirmative. “I do think so. You’ll see Putin going to pay for his intervention,” Biden told the interviewer. Biden stressed that his country can take a strong hand against the Putin administration and at the same time sign various agreements with the Kremlin, “it’s like going and chewing gum at the same time,” the president said.
Biden also referred in Ryan to the US withdrawal from Tampaginsten and said it would be difficult to get all US military forces out of the country by early May.
