Beyoncé pays tribute to 13-year-old fan who died of brain cancer by mobile movement

A queen always looks after her hive. On Saturday, Beyoncé praised a young fan who died of cancer, releasing a moving mix of songs in her memory.

On Friday, Lyric “Yhung” Chanel died at the age of 13 after a two-year battle with brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma, according to ABC 13.

Lyric’s family had culminated her life on Instagram, where she nurtured a huge online following and attracted the attention of celebrities like Cardi B and Beyoncé, who contacted her a few years ago.

In the obituary video titled “Rest In Peace Lyric Chanel,” the “Black is King” singer makes an emotional medley cappella of “Brown Skin Girl,” “Halo” and “Love on Top” along with photos from Instagram girl.

For the final song, Beyoncé honored Lyric by putting her name in the chorus instead of “baby”.

“Lyric, it’s you / You’re my favorite / And you’re the one I need,” she sings. “You are the only thing I see / Come on, Lyric, you are / You are the one who will give you everything / You are the one who can always call me / When I need your child to stop everything / Finally, you put my love on top. ”

The singer concludes the ceremony with a heartfelt message to Lyric: “I love you with all my heart.”

Since then the Lyric family has expressed their gratitude in a message on Instagram, writing, “Thank you @beyonce. I am so thankful that Lyric was able to hear you sing to her before she left this world. ”

In September, Beyoncé planted Lyric flowers and a note after the girl sharing clips of herself singing with “Love on Top” when she was a preschooler.

“Honey, Honey, I can see the stars all the way from here, I can see the sun when you’re near,” Beyoncé began on the note, picking up the words to the song. “I was so happy to see how those words inspired you, almost as much as you inspired me. I can’t wait to meet you one day and I’m so glad you’re safe home. You are a survivor. God bless you, B. ”

At the time, Lyric shared an Instagram post recording her panic about receiving the sweet gift, saying, “Thank you so much for these flowers. I love you and can’t wait to meet you. “

Just a month later, Lyric received another special delivery from Beyoncé: greetings from the singer’s Ivy Park clothing line.

Along with a video of her family unpacking the packet on Instagram, Lyric wrote, “Just recovered from getting Chemo and watched the surprise awaited. I love you so much ### you are my Yoncé. “
