The chairman of Jewish Power and the candidate on the list of religious Zionists for the Knesset, lawyer Itamar Ben Gvir, today (Monday) called on MK Yair Golan (Meretz) to remove his immunity so that he could sue him for libel, after calling him a “terrorist.”
In a tweet posted on Twitter today, MK Golan wrote that “the terrorist who was not drafted into the IDF, Itamar Ben Gvir, thinks that Nitzan Horowitz should be questioned on suspicion of treason – no less.”
“A Knesset candidate wants to imprison or execute another MK who said he did not agree with it. This is the state we will have if Ben Gvir and Netanyahu form a government. This is the state we will have if Meretz does not pass,” Golan wrote.
Advocate Ben Gvir responded to the tweet and said: “I expect to see if in two weeks when the process ID crashes below the blocking percentage he will have the courage to write the same things again when he is already immune. In the meantime, I call on him to remove his immunity and face a defamation lawsuit in court. “
