The first trailer for the Zack Snyder Justice League went out on Sunday. The trailer was full of surprises and feedback, just as Snyder promised. While the CGI looks a bit silly at times, the film looks like an epic that deserves Justice League. Will he erase 2017 Justice League memorabilia with the 4-hour special version director yet to be seen.
Here are five takeaways from the Snyder Cut trailer:
Earth Forces vs Darkseid
We see a few scenes of the history lesson about the first time Apokolips’ forces invaded the earth, with Darkseid himself leading the charge. The forces of the earth, including the Amazons, Atlantians, at least one Green Lantern and the humans, fought against Darkseid and his parademons and succeeded in reversing the attack.
Wonder Woman history lesson
Wonder Woman, like Diana Prince, discovers the attack by Apokoliptians thousands of years ago with the help of walls revealing the battlefield. It is the only attack described in the history lesson with it for the rest of the Justice League. In the theater cut, Diana knew about it, and we were left confused as to how she came to know about it.
Superman discovers his true purpose

In one scene, we see a call back to the Man of Steel scene, in which Superman first learns to fly, as the debris begins to wrap around his arm. It’s in the Justice League, the last Son of Krypton finds out what the real reason is. While in Man of Steel, a newly recorded Superhero, he became a confused divine image in Batman v Superman, before we see him die. In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, he will be resurrected, and will have a knowledge of his place in the world.
Knightmare

Like Batman v Superman, Batman had something called Knightmare, in which he dreamed that Darkseid had won and Superman had gone bad. He was to stop the future from realizing that he had gathered the Justice League. The Zack Snyder Justice League will also have a Knightmare series, and we’ll see his bow opponent there as well.
Joker
Zack Snyder embraced the popular meme “We Live in Society” and made Jared Leto’s Prince of Crime Clown, now without face tattoos and wearing loose hair (instead of be stripped properly), say those words. The meme itself was inspired by Joker, however. “We live in a society where dignity is a distant memory. Isn’t that right, Batman? ”
Justice League Zack Snyder will begin streaming on HBO Max on March 18th.
