Batam: Our test for Corona also diagnoses the new mutation – the capital market

The new strain of SARS-CoV-2, known as SARS-CoV-2 VUI 202012/01, is characterized by multiple mutations of the S-type protein (Spike) as well as additional mutations in additional regions. According to the company, Batam, in collaboration with Tor Vergata University in Italy, continues to test its assessments for each identified mutation, of clinical significance, to make sure that its assessments are able to accurately diagnose all known new strains of the corona virus.

Testing the group’s antigens includes the detection ability of 4 + 1 genes, including protein S (Spike), compared to the standard detection abilities of only 1-3 genes in other kits on the market. This capability allows for more accurate results and lowers the risk of possible test errors (false positives and false negatives). Batam now offers the 4 + 1 kit as its standard kit, and is supplied to a number of private and government customers in Europe and other geographies.
