Baron Benjamin de Rothschild suffered a heart attack and died last night at the age of 57 and a half at his home in Switzerland

The Edmund de Rothschild group announces with great sorrow and deep pain the passing of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild. The late Baron suffered a heart attack and died on Friday (15.1.21), at his home in Pargani (Switzerland).

He was 57.5 years old at the time of his death. The hearts and minds of the group’s workers in Israel and around the world are at this time with his wife, Baroness Arian de Rothschild and their daughters, and they send their deepest condolences to them and all his family.

The late Baron Benjamin de Rothschild was born on July 30, 1963 to Barons Edmund and Nadine de Rothschild.

Since 1997, the late Baron Benjamin has headed the group founded by his father and developed and expanded its business and philanthropic activities to an extraordinary extent. The late Baron Benjamin, stood out as a visionary entrepreneur, a renowned expert in the fields of finance and innovation, as well as being an active philanthropist who continued the family’s legacy and contributed greatly to the strengthening of Israeli society. In his variety of activities, Baron Benjamin de Rothschild persevered in cultivating the heritage of the Rothschild dynasty for generations.

In recent years, the late Baron has focused on formulating the group’s vision for the coming years, with his Baroness wife, Arian de Rothschild, in charge of the day – to – day running of the group’s business and philanthropic endeavors.

The Edmund de Rothschild Investment Group operates according to the strategy outlined by Baron Benjamin and Baroness Arian de Rothschild, to capitalize on building a better future world. In Israel, the group operates the Edmund de Rothschild Investment House (Israel) and is mainly active in philanthropy – through the Edmond de Rothschild Fund, founded by Baron Edmund de Rothschild, Baron Benjamin’s father.
