Bahrain a-Ziani Foreign Minister at Israeli conference: “Make it clear to Baidan that the concern is from Iran”

One front against Iran – at the Israeli conference: Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. ‘Abd a-Latif Rashd a-Ziani today (Tuesday) expressed concern over a possible return of US President Joe Biden to the nuclear deal with Iran. He made the remarks at a conference of the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) at Tel Aviv University, as part of remarks he made in a video call.

“There are factors that will do anything to try and sabotage the process and cooperation between us. I see many benefits in our countries speaking to the new US administration unanimously on issues we have in common concern, particularly Iran, its nuclear and missile program and its overall impact on the region. A common regional position will have a greater impact in the United States. We need to make it clear that these concerns are not just one country but many countries in the region. “

A-Ziani added: “Any future agreement with Iran should reflect the new reality in the region and be acceptable to all countries in the region. I urge President Biden to include the countries in the region in consultation. We must ensure that any new agreement not only delays Iran’s nuclear capabilities. “It will also remove from the table its hopes of achieving them. In addition, we must address the Iranian missile threat, the support it provides to envoys and its intervention in the internal affairs of the countries of the region, in order to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.”

Japanese the message? President of the United States

Dr. Anwar Gergash, the United Arab Emirates’ State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, also attended the conference, saying: “When the Biden administration is considering returning to the JCPOA (nuclear agreement), whether in an upgraded or revised format, it must consider points. Next: First, we are concerned not only about the nuclear but also about the ballistic missiles and Iran’s regional policy; Second, the only way forward is through diplomatic-diplomatic arrangements.

“Iran must be given incentives to be part of a space of stability and prosperity in the long run; third, one of the JCPOA’s failures was the lack of a regional voice. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s statement on the need for Israeli and regional involvement in Iran is vital.

Gergash also referred to the large number of Israeli tourists in Dubai, before the closure of Ben Gurion Airport: “I was surprised that the Israelis saw the United Arab Emirates as an attractive tourist destination, and that was a pleasant surprise.”
