Chelsea players celebrate (Reuters)
The 24th round of the English league continues tonight (Monday) with two fascinating games, in which Chelsea defeated Newcastle 0: 2 and climbed to 4th place in the table, and in the earlier game West Ham defeated Sheffield United 0: 3 and overtook Liverpool who dropped to 5th place. -6.
Chelsea – Newcastle 0: 2
The Blues continue the wonderful improvement graph under Thomas Tuchel with a 5 straight win in all competitions. Tami Avraham started in the squad alongside Timo Werner but was injured and gave way in the 20th minute to the veteran Olivier Giroud, who within 11 minutes came on his own with Chelsea’s first goal. In the 39th minute, Werner doubled the advantage and signed the result of the game, which was maintained until the end.

West Ham – Sheffield United 0: 3
Although West Ham were relegated from the cup by Manchester United about a week ago, that does not stop them from continuing in their wonderful form in the league, with a 12th win since the start of the season. The first goal came in the 41st minute when she squeezed a foul in the box and young Declan Rice scored from the penalty spot.

In the second half Arun Cresswell, one of the outstanding cooks this season in the Premier League, provided his 6th cook to Isa Diop who doubled the lead in the 58th minute, and deep into extra time substitute Ryan Fredericks nailed the third (90 + 6). A very crowded schedule awaits the Hammers, when they meet Tottenham, Manchester City, Leeds, Manchester United and Arsenal in the next 5 games. This is a huge test for Moyes and his trainees to show that they truly belong to the top.
