It looks like Arsenal are on the highway with three straight wins, however everything good has an end and the Gunners finished 0-0 against Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, Arsenal continued to have a hard time facing the neighbor from London when they did not beat them in the last five meetings between them.
It could be that the tight schedule affected Mikel Arteta’s gang, who seemed uninspired, and uninjured in front of Roy Hodgson’s midfield team. To the credit of the Gunners they managed to keep a clean sheet for the first time this season in a home game in the Premier League. Following the point scored by Arsenal, they temporarily rose to 11th place while the visitors climbed to 13th place.
So what’s next? Arta’s trainees will try to get back into the groove in a home game against Newcastle on the day while Palace will go out for a not-so-simple away game at all against the runner-up, Manchester City.
