During a discussion at the Israel Democracy Institute this morning (Wednesday), MK Ayelet Shaked rejected the possibility of a joint run by a right-wing party led by Naftali Bennett and a new Tikva party led by Gideon Saar.

“The option of uniting with Saar does not exist,” Shaked said during the hearing.

She presented two reasons for this situation. “Even according to those who want it, the parties individually hold more seats separately than if they run online. That is, the whole is smaller than the sum of its parts.”

“Second thing, Gideon Saar and his whole party were part of this failed government. So such a connection is out of the question,” Shaked said.

“Our ambition is for Bennett to form the next government. I very much hope that towards the closing of the lists, we will be the second largest party. The Ministry of Justice has always been one of the most important ministries in my eyes, along with the Ministry of Finance, then Education and Health.

” I have a lot of work to do in the Ministry of Justice. “There is a choice of 6 judges for the Supreme Court in the coming years. This is an opportunity that will not be repeated for the conservative camp to establish a conservative majority, and I hope I can continue with that.”
