Nier: Automata fans are going to Steam in frustration after the game debuted on Xbox Game Pass.

According to PC Gamer, the Steam version is actually lower than the Xbox Game Pass version. The Xbox port is based on the Nier: Become Automata as Gods Edition, which first launched on Xbox One. Developed by QLOC, the port brought a number of different enhancements that further impacted the game.

That included an unlimited video setting that helped solve an ongoing problem on Steam. There, it will launch with a fixed image setting, regardless of which user is setting as their intention. It’s a downside that players have had to capture themselves, with developers seemingly turning a blind eye to the past four years.

When Nier: Automata Game to Xbox Game Pass, the mission goal was set. They also acquired several others to improve accidents and additional performance problems. Fearing that the Steam version is still in the same state, fans have been reviewing the Nier: Steam Automata page bombing to force developers to get their hands on the Steam version. The game has received over 500 negative reviews in the last few days alone.

The game has not moved to a negative review level yet, but players have a very united call that they speak strongly with negative reviews.

To date, no official comments have been made about the situation by Square Enix or anyone associated with the game. However, it has been made very clear that the Steam version is not the best place to experience Nier: Automata right now.
