With the country busy fighting recent COVID-19 incidents, major vaccinations have begun in many parts of the country.
As of Friday, 220 Beijing health centers have vaccinated 73,537 people, with no side effects detected, Gao Xiaojun, a spokesman for the Beijing Health Commission, said at a news conference on Sunday.
As requested by the national health authority, the first batch of vaccines is being given to nine major organizations including inspection workers handling cold chain incoming products, port workers admissions and those in the transportation sector.
