Australian Olympic swimmer Scott Miller seized $ 2 million worth of drugs

Post-Olympic swimmer Scott Miller has been arrested by Australian Federal Police in a drug crisis estimated to be worth around $ 2million.

Miller is understood to have been involved in the administration of large quantities of methamphetamine also known as ‘ice’ with reports showing that the 45-year-old man and his co-accused were in fact hiding the drug inside a candle.

The New South Wales Crime Commission and investigators from the State Crime Control Drug and Weapons Squad launched a formal investigation in early 2021 after police seized the drugs and the money.

From there, they executed a final search warrant on Miller’s Rozelle house and his co-accused property in Balmain.

They also researched a local business in Banktown.

When the raids were over, the two men were taken to Newtown Police Station where they were charged with “directing a criminal syndicate” as well as “dispensing large quantities of commercial drugs.” prohibited ”.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday morning, Detective Superintendent John Watson described Miller’s alleged role as “syndicate chief” who “called the pictures”.

Watson also said the drugs were seized from Sydney but were linked for regional New South Wales, specifically Albury that spans the state of Victoria.

“They were hiding the drugs in candles,” he told the media.

“The drugs seized were daily candles, for all intents and purposes, however.

“The ice was really clean inside the candles.

“Those candles looked like ordinary candles, however, they were mourning death and misery.”
