The Australian Open is in danger of being canceled? Grand Slam organizers announced today (Sunday) that 72 tennis players have been on flights with verified Corona patients for the past two days and will go into 14-day isolation in their hotel room. Players will not be allowed to practice during the period. Among the isolated: Bianca Andresco (7), Arena Sablanca (10) and Angelique Kerber (formerly ranked first in the world).

The isolation blow began yesterday (Saturday). 47 tennis players who were on two flights to Melbourne that turned out to be also corona patients were verified. Tournament organizers today announced 25 more players will enter the isolation for similar reasons.

“On the charter flight from Doha to Melbourne, a person was found to be verified as positive for Corona,” the Grand Slam organizers announced.

Meanwhile some of the players have started to find creative solutions to their situation. For example, Arena Sabalenka and Yulia Putintseva (28) uploaded to their social media accounts videos in which they practice in their hotel room.
