Augusta National Golf Club has unveiled its COVID-19 health and safety protocols for fans ahead of the 2021 Masters Championship.
The Masters begin Thursday, April 8 at Augusta National with practice rounds starting Monday, April 5. The club announced in January that it would end the number of fans due to concerns about COVID-19. Masters 2020 was delayed from their traditional time in April to November due to the pandemic. It was played without the fans present.
The club is also holding the Augusta and Drive and Chip and Putt Women’s National Amateur Finals on Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4, respectively.

Here are the safety measures for those attendees attending the events:
COVID test
Keepers of a batch of COVID-19 negative, molecular or anitgen PCR test must be tested 72 hours before entering the gardens. This is regardless of whether the vaccine is on the vaccine; antibody tests are not accepted.
The results must be on paper, dated within 72 hours in advance and the name of the results must match the photo ID of the badge holder. Anyone who has tested positive will not receive it within 10 days of admission.
Visitors are asked to stay at home if they experience any of the following symptoms: fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting , diarrhea or new loss of taste or smell.
Mascara requirements
All fans must have a face cover and must wear it at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking. Clothing, N95, KN95 and surgical masks are permitted, as long as neck guards, bandages, masks with ventilator and uncoated face shields are not permitted underneath.
Social transition
The usual six feet of social distance will also be applied. In addition, supporters are asked to wash their hands regularly. Hand washing stations will be available throughout the park.
Payment without notice
Augusta National will have all the cashless facilities to discount communications. Credit cards are the only way to pay at discounts, grocery stores and shipping locations.
