Attack in Syria: Six killed, missiles and weapons stockpiles damaged

The Syrian Organization for Human Rights reported today (Monday) that six people who are not Syrian citizens were killed in an attack that took place this morning in the capital Damascus and was attributed to Israel. According to the report, four of them were killed in the bombing of warehouses on the old Damascus-Beirut road, and two were killed after missiles hit military targets.

Sources in al-Arabiya reported that the attack, which began at 01:18 at night, occurred after an Iranian cargo plane arrived at the airport in Damascus and in parallel with sudden maneuvers by the Israeli Air Force in the northern region. The attack lasted 30 minutes, with the targets being missiles and Iranian weapons depots.

Sources in the Syrian Organization for Human Rights reported that other sites west and southwest of the capital were attacked, adding that the country’s air defense systems intercepted a significant number of missiles, but some did reach their destination and caused damage and damage to missile and weapons depots in the area.

According to the organization, the shelling was aimed at farms containing militias belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah organization and the popular opposition to the liberation of the Golan, as well as for military purposes belonging to the tank brigade of the regime forces, where Iranian militias are stationed.
